1. Overview

At Folioary, we respect your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, and how it is protected when using our portfolio builder platform (“Service”).

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the information required to build, host, and manage your portfolio:

Account Information: Your name, email address, chosen username, password, or third-party authentication profile (such as Google Sign-In).
Portfolio Data & Content: The text, biography, project details, images, media, and custom layout preferences you add to your portfolio.
Resume Uploads: When you use our resume import tool, you submit a PDF or text resume so our system can automatically extract your work history and skills into your portfolio.
Billing Information: Payments are processed directly through our payment provider, Paddle. We do not store or process your credit card numbers on our servers.
Technical Data: Basic browser, device, and error log information to ensure performance and resolve bugs.

3. How We Use Your Information

Your data is used solely to:

Build, host, and deliver your published portfolio on your subdomain (e.g. yourname.folioary.com) or custom domain.
Parse uploaded resume documents to pre-fill portfolio sections.
Manage your account and subscription access.
Provide direct customer support when you reach out to us.

We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information or portfolio content to advertisers or third-party data brokers.

4. AI Processing of Resumes

When you import a resume, the text is processed via Google Gemini API solely to organize your experience into portfolio blocks.

Your resume text is used strictly to fulfill your import request. It is never used to train public foundation AI models.

5. Third-Party Services

We use select trusted infrastructure partners to deliver the platform:

Paddle: Secure payment processing and checkout.
Google Cloud & Gemini API: Authentication and resume parsing.
MongoDB Atlas: Encrypted cloud database for user accounts and portfolio layouts.
Image Storage: Delivery of uploaded portfolio screenshots and images.

6. Your Data Rights

You retain complete control of your data. You can edit, unpublish, or delete your portfolios from your dashboard at any time. When you delete your account, your personal data and unpublished drafts are permanently deleted from our active database.
